Someone went to alot of time and love to make this. Because of the age. I think it is a wonderful piece of American Folk Art. The is a slit in the trim for the garage to slide in. The door on it slides up and in or comes off if desired. The garage fits in with opening to front or back. I thought about changing out the knobs, as they are a screw and a flower with a thumbtack but decided to leave as they are original. This was a barn find, and other than wiping it with a damp cloth, it is as I found it. This is a true vintage item over 40 years old. Check out my other listings.
