Made by Gottschalk in the early 1920s. Comes complete with chicken coop and a drinking spot. There used to be a stable door on the right side (see picture for hinges). But the door is no longer there and not included. The farm is in pretty good condition. There is however a little damage. And has some paint restoration from previous owner. You can restore it or leave it as is. Such a nice characteristic farm house. The farm measures approx. 46 cm – 18 inch wide. 38 cm – 15 inch deep. 36 cm – 14 inch high. An old set of dolls house furniture which consists of a chaise longue; 6 dining room chairs and 2 armchairs and original chaise longue cushion. Plywood with blue velvet seats and arms. Basic construction with tiny pins and glue. Unusual design especially with the roll bar at the back. The chaise longue is about 7.5 inches length x4 inches height. The chairs just over 4 inches height. They are made from plywood and stained. Left unloved in a shed for many years until rescued. Wear: I think there has been some old restoration to the foot of the armchair (see last pic) but they are both stable and this does not detract in any way. The velvet is faded and grubby but I have not attempted to clean. A little wear but no tears or fraying. Slight sign of woodworm to a couple but not active and has not spread. It is one of their first stores they have ever made. It has two very nice grocer boxes, 4 drawers which are good, but two are missing the label of the contents. The shop has no woodworm or holes it has only wear like old paint loss from age. It looks so cozy old. The store comes with old shopping boxes of products and homemade sacks, grocer scoop. And checkout cash register with real metal mini coins, boxes, old tin and tin Honig and a Hero is missing the bottom of the container. A little girl doll is in the store with her basket to fill. She is surrounded by wooden chickens and the store kitty named Katje. So those cannot be included with the store and have been used for display only. The Shoppe measures approx. 14 inch – 35.5 cm wide. 5.9 inch – 15 cm deep. 5.5 inch – 14.5 cm high. It is one of their first stores they have ever made. It has two very nice grocer boxes, 4 drawers which are good, but two are missing the label of the contents. The shop has no woodworm or holes it has only wear like old paint loss from age. It looks so cozy old. The store comes with old shopping boxes of products and homemade sacks, grocer scoop. And checkout cash register with real metal mini coins, boxes, old tin and tin Honig and a Hero is missing the bottom of the container. A little girl doll is in the store with her basket to fill. She is surrounded by wooden chickens and the store kitty named Katje. So those cannot be included with the store and have been used for display only. The Shoppe measures approx. 14 inch – 35.5 cm wide. 5.9 inch – 15 cm deep. 5.5 inch – 14.5 cm high. This store weighs 1110 grams – 2.460 LB. “History of OKWA ” The OKWA factory was owned by the family Okkerse from the village Waddinxveen in Zuid-Holland (Dutch province). The factory was founded in 1901 and this factory was the first Dutch toy factory to produce dolls houses and miniature shops. In the 1930s they started making miniature shops and in the 1950s they started the production of dolls houses. In the second half of the 1970s the OKWA factory was closed down. Made by Gottschalk in the early 1920s. Comes complete with chicken coop and a drinking spot. There used to be a stable door on the right side (see picture for hinges). But the door is no longer there and not included. The farm is in pretty good condition. There is however a little damage. And has some paint restoration from previous owner. You can restore it or leave it as is. Such a nice characteristic farm house. The farm measures approx. 46 cm – 18 inch wide. 38 cm – 15 inch deep. 36 cm – 14 inch high.
